Guidelines and Protocols
At Specialty Medical Center our mission is to provide you with the best possible care, rooted in compassion, innovation, and personalized treatment. We believe that every patient deserves to be treated with respect and empathy, and that means ensuring you understand what to expect throughout your treatment journey with us. Below are some guidelines to help you make the most of your experience here.
We are here to help people just like you who are seeking relief from pain, improved mobility, and overall better health. To ensure we provide the highest level of care, here’s what you should know
Referral Process
We work with other healthcare providers to make sure you’re getting the specialized care you need. That’s why a referral is needed before you come to see us.
Insurance Coverage
We’ve got you covered through most insurance plans, including auto claims, workers' compensation, and government-supported health insurance. Please note that we do not accept cash or self-pay.
Focused Care Approach
Our focus is on treating the source of your pain, not just the symptoms. We avoid long-term reliance on medications like narcotics, and instead, work with you to develop a treatment plan that promotes healing and lasting relief.
Your journey to better health is a team effort, and we’re here to support you every step of the way. Here’s what we ask of you to help ensure the best outcomes:
Show Up for Yourself
Attending your appointments on time is essential for tracking progress and adjusting treatments as needed. We’re here for you, and staying committed to your appointments helps us help you
Follow the Plan
We’ll craft a treatment plan just for you, and following it—whether it’s taking medication, attending therapy, or following post-treatment guidelines—is key to your success.
Open Communication
If something isn’t working or you have concerns, we want to know. Together, we’ll find solutions and adjust your care plan as needed. Your feedback is important to us.
We offer several types of patient visits depending on the stage of treatment
New Patient Visit
We take the time to get to know you, your health history, and your pain challenges so we can tailor a plan that works best for you.
Diagnostics
Our medical center provides comprehensive diagnostic services using state-of-the-art technology to ensure accurate assessments. We focus on early detection and precise diagnosis to guide effective treatment plans.
Treatment/Consultations
For those undergoing treatments like injections or other therapies, we’ll schedule your visits and make sure you’re prepared every step of the way.
Follow Up
Regular check-ins allow us to see how you’re progressing and make any necessary tweaks to your treatment plan.
- Diagnostic
Our center offers advanced diagnostic services with cutting-edge technology for precise evaluations. We emphasize early detection and accurate diagnoses to support effective treatment planning.
- Regenerative Medicine
Our body has an incredible ability to heal, and we help unlock that potential with treatments like PRP and Regenerative Therapy. Whether you’re dealing with joint pain or injuries, we can help guide your recovery.
- Pain Management
We offer a variety of treatments, such as steroid injections, which are a safe and effective way to relieve pain and inflammation. If needed, we limit these to ensure your health and well-being.
For cases that need a little more, our Regenerative Medicine options, including PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) and Regenerative Therapy, can help your body heal itself, naturally.
- Spine Care
For those struggling with back or neck pain, we offer advanced treatments like Epidural Injections and Radiofrequency Ablation. These options are minimally invasive and help alleviate pain so you can get back to living your life.
Non-Controlled Substances
We’ll always start with the safest, most effective options to manage your pain, like anti-inflammatories, which can reduce pain without heavy side effects.
Controlled Substances
In some cases, short-term use of stronger medications might be necessary. But don’t worry, we’ll walk you through everything and monitor you closely to ensure your safety and well-being.
Patients with Auto Claims
If you’re coming to us after an auto accident, we understand how tough that can be, and we’re here to help you heal:
During your initial visit, we’ll develop a comprehensive treatment plan that includes physical therapy, imaging, and other appropriate care.
We’ll review your progress every couple of weeks and adjust your care as needed, making sure you’re on track for recovery.
What Happens If You Miss an Appointment
We get it—life happens. But we do ask that if you need to cancel or reschedule, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance. This helps us keep things running smoothly and ensures other patients can get the care they need. Multiple missed appointments or no-shows may impact your ability to continue treatment with us.
The Care You Deserve
Our goal is simple: to help you live a healthier, more active life. That means offering **interventional procedures** and regenerative treatments that address the root causes of pain. We aim for **short-term care with long-term results**—giving you the tools you need to heal without relying on medications for the rest of your life.
We Value Your Consent
Your health, your decisions. Before any procedure, we’ll fully explain the benefits, risks, and alternatives so you can make an informed choice. We’re here to answer all of your questions and ensure you feel confident in your treatment plan.
